    Pie: Battery Life

I'm getting significant improvement in usage, but still losing over 12% overnight, no change from Oreo. (I have been in beta for a while and the usage improvements have steadily increased with each release, no real change from genl. release Pie.)

Are you still happy with your G5?

Thanks. Is there a desired number?

Are you still happy with your G5?

How do I test my gps? As far as I know it's fine (Uber location is always perfect) but, forgive my ignorance, how do I test it?

    LG G5 Nougat Update

That's why I suggested you switch to AT&T for a month or less, just til you get the OTA upgrade. If you want to try flashing, go to XDA for directions. I'm sure it's doable, but not easy.

    LG G5 Nougat Update

I am not an expert on this issue but if you have an at&t branded (whether or not unlocked) G5 and you are running it on the At&t network it should be able to get the OTA Nougat update (I've had it since at least April). You can simply call At&t and give them your phone's ESN and they can tell...

Soft silicone case for LG G5?

I concur 100%. Unfortunately, that case for the G5 is currently out of stock at Amazon, surely available elsewhere. Perfect case: soft and malleable, still provides decent protection, looks nice, classy in matte black. Finally, had it for 4 months and remove it iften for batt change and it's...

    Oreo

This^. Couldn't say it better. Still, I'll add: the phone was/is not a fail, far from it. LG certainly failed by not supporting it with a single modular feature for US models but its not like there are any downsides to its modular design. I've owned several Samsung Note series phones with...

Are you still happy with your G5?

GPS and signal have been fine, though wifi is somewhat disappointing. I have Verizon gigabit Internet, which delivers wifi speeds of 400mb/s on most of my laptops and on my wife's iPhone 6s but only reaches about 200mb/s through the G5. Its way more than sufficient, of course, but disappointing...

Are you still happy with your G5?

I am still very happy with this phone. I've had it for 7 months now and it hasn't loat a bit of speed or responsiveness. I'm fine with the cameras though clearly they've made a quantum leap since, from everything I've read about the V30 (which I drool about!) but these cameras are awesome...

    Note 8 now priced right

I want to strongly second that motion! In case newcomers are looking at this, the Note 8 may not have the best specs in town, but it works flawlessly for the vast, vast majority of owners. I think you can find them fairly easily for around $250 now, either slightly used, refurbished or some...

When to expect next gen Note 8?

If you use the tablet to watch a lot of high resolution video or view high resolution photographs - or even use IOS apps, optimized for the "retina" screen - then I can well understand that after using your "retina" tablet any lower resolution screen looks, well, dowdy by comparison. That said...

Note 8 Missing from Black Friday Ads

As the OP definitely wants the pen, I think the Note 8 remains the only game in town, and a great one at that. I have always been a screen resolution fanatic, but at 8" and with the excellent colors, brightness and contrast of it's screen, I find the Note 8's 1200 x 800 surprisingly well...
