    Verizon update S9+

I got the May security update a couple weeks ago, and just got the June update today on Verizon.

Did everyone receive the latest update?

Got it a few days ago. Other things I noticed: April 1 security patch Icon masking now behaves like the S7/S8 if you use Icons with frames Fixed an annoying bug in My Files where if you resized columns in list view, the size wouldn't stick

    Official: Galaxy S8 / S8+ Pre-Order Thread

Re: Official: Galaxy S8+ Pre-order thread Verizon Arctic Silver S8+ on order here. It's going to be a long 3 weeks, but I will also enjoy the remaining time with my S7 Edge that I got on release day. It's the best phone I've ever had, and it's not even close. Looking forward to even better...

    Why are my widgets gone?

The gallery widget seems to have been removed from the OS (not sure why), but it can be downloaded from Galaxy Apps - search "Picture frame Widget".

Do you like Nougat or Marshmallow?

    Nougat...no contest for me.

    Unknown Icon On My Taksbar

It's the icon for Data Saver - Settings>Data usage>Data saver.

    Smart Stay issue!!

Smart Stay works on mine. I can be looking at the screen and it stays on well in excess of my timeout setting, but as far as I can tell they have removed the eye icon - I have never seen it on the S7. Also didn't have the eye icon on my Galaxy S6 or Galaxy Tab S2.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Best Calendar App

Re: Best Calendar App My vote is for Event Flow Widget - you can use it with the stock S Planner app, and has both monthly calendar and agenda widgets with a ton of customizations available.

    Change Screen-On time

That option is not available on Bluetooth versions in the US (and probably some other countries). It was added in a firmware update that was released in other parts of the world last NOVEMBER, but Samsung seems to have forgotten that they released the Bluetooth version in the US, so here we sit...

Moto Droid Turbo - any of you using with Gear S2?

I had my Gear S2 paired with a Droid Turbo for the first couple of months I had it. You will not get the "Email" app on your S2 when it's paired to a non-Samsung phone. However, notifications worked just fine on the Droid Turbo - I used Gmail, Inbox, and Outlook apps for email, and notifications...

    Uber App Works

My guess is that it only shows up on Samsung phones, as it requires the "Uber Companion for Gear" app to be installed on your phone, which for some reason they have chosen to place in the Galaxy Apps store instead of Google Play. It never showed up for me when I had my S2 paired with a Droid...

system font changed with lollipop update. can't read it; can't change it

Check Settings > Accessibility, and make sure "High contrast text" is turned off. Only thing I can think of.

Should I buy a new Droid Turbo?

Well, I guess my Turbo can make calls better than it hangs onto them. Advanced Calling is not nearly as ready for prime time as Verizon wants you to believe. If you turn it off, you no longer get simultaneous voice and data. I admit I don't frequent many other forums, but it doesn't seem like...

Should I buy a new Droid Turbo?

Unless battery life is your only concern, get something else. LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S6, and Nexus 6 are all better than the Turbo overall. Plus you can actually make phone calls and get OS updates on them. Or wait for the new LG Nexus this fall...I can't wait to dump my Turbo and get that.

    Turbo still worth it?

In contrast with many of these other reviews, as someone who has owned my Turbo since November I'd say beware. If battery life and charging is your top priority, it may be worth it. But other than that, except for maybe the HTC One M9, any of the current flagship devices (Galaxy S6, G4, Nexus 6)...
