    Thank you, grossejager. Holding the button on the earpiece down until it responded "Pairing..." is what did the trick. Made the device visible to the Note 4.

    Internet Connectivity Proxy Settings Problem

    Thank you for the "hold down WiFi trick. It, in fact, did the trick on this proxy issue. It would appear that the Android update (to 5.0.1) created the problem but there is no way to be sure.
