You really can't make this type of backup without being rooted. However, the stock Verizon ROM is available as a flashable (using Odin) file on xda, so if anything goes wrong you can just flash that and the phone's just like new. You can also make a full backup once rooted with a custom...

Only way Apple's getting me to switch back is by releasing an iPhone with a 4.5+ inch screen. I switched because of the small display and a very stale iOS. They've partially corrected one, but I don't expect a big enough display in the near future.

There is a universal sim reset at around 6-7 AM eastern time. You will have to wait until then to reactivate it on your wife's line. Or just go to your local Verizon store and they will give you another sim card for free.

I'm the one who posted that on xda. You're misinterpreting it. I was just trying to explain why some will be delivered tomorrow while some wont come until Wednesday. Verizon has not held deliveries, at least not that I know of
