Same here, my Note 5 lasted as long as it could until it got the most recent OS update and that basically killed the batter. I've had the S8+ for about 3 weeks and get around 8 hours SOT with heavy usage. I love it.

I don't use a screen protector on mine either, I haven't used a screen protector since I first got my Nexus 6 when it released. I do have to say that I am on the T-mobile using the JUMP program so in my mind i'm only gonna have it for 6 months. I might be more inclined to use one if I was stuck...

On T-Mobile my Note 5 is so much better than my Nexus 6 was in the battery department. Yesterday i managed 6 hours of screen on time with about 10% battery left. I used it pretty hard with Youtube, Pandora, some Miracast stuff to my Xbox, phone calls, downloading apps, phone calls, etc. Probably...

I had my first experience with mine not fast charging yesterday, i thought maybe i didn't plug the cable in all of the way but it was when i tried to push it in more. I just unplugged it and plugged back in and haven't had an issue again. Not sure what could be causing this.
