Yes, you're correct. You need either a new car designed to work with it or an aftermarket system installed.

Re: Android Auto & 2105 Nissan Rouge navigation, can I get some help hooking this up? You're not gonna like this but, The system in your car also needs to be compatible with AA and Nissan hasn't announced any models yet. It's also not likely to be backwards compatible.

Might have to do a factory reset. Make sure everything is backed up and do that. It might solve your issue.

I don't own one but all that button does is take you back to the Hyundai interface. I fully expect Google to open up Android Auto some more at Google I/O this week.
