    Thanks Irate, I'm doing that as last resort. I thought since it does go into fastboot and I can get it into the emergency mode, that maybe all was not lost...

    Thanks guys, but the phone was purchased in april. Only this week did we activate it for my son. So return isnt' going to work. Is there any hope of rooting the phone now... I don't think I can make things worse. Thanks anyhoo... :)

    Optimus V (unrooted) took a swim Would any of these tips in this thread pertain to a "unrooted" optimus v? My son got his 1 day old V wet, and now (after drying it out in a baggie of rice), it only goes into the blue fastboot screen. Any advice? Thanks.
