If you read the many threads on this and other forums you'll see that maybe half of them report that the battery charges just fine when the phone is off. That screams 'software' to me.

Sorry to hear that you're having exactly the same problem. Until someone even diagnoses the problem all I can suggest is to buy an extra battery and charger and keep rotating them, like I have to do.

Thanks! Both. I know the wall outlet provides a higher charge, but it used to charge fine with the PC too. Now it has the same problem with both.

I should mention, though it's rooted it has not been flashed: it has official Samsung 4.1.2.
