I would try flashing the stock .sbf of .83 and then doing the OTA update of gingerbread. That's what worked for me.

Re: Official Gingerbread update out Just checked my Atrix and just said my device was up to date. If the official release is out and rolling, I think it's fair to assume that they will do it just like they did the last one. In waves.
