Thanks, the reset seemed to have solved the email and text issues. What a pain in the ###! My phone had no problems with the upgrade and of course my wife's phone had at least these two issues and battery issues. I think solving these two problems will help the battery life. I wondered why...

I had two phones upgrade, one had both problems as to text and emails while the other had no issues. Does appear that the text eventually go out and are received even though is shows "sending". Somewhat frustrating.:)

5.0.1 is installed with no problems and seems to be working well.

I think you will receive it soon, I received 5.0.1 on Thursday and it seems to be working well. Hang in there.:)

Finally 5.0.1 was available to download this evening, hopefully they got the bugs out. Guess I will know soon.

Give the update a day or two to settle in, my battery life has been great with the update. I have had problems in the past with some updates and battery but the problem has gone away after a day or two. The reset should help.

Same here, seemed to load quickly and smoothly on both mine and my wife's phones.

You know the S3 is a beautiful phone, however do a search for "S3 broken screen". I was amazed, the Samsung appears to be quite fragile, for the price they want I'm not going to be a test market. A lady here in the office cracked the screen on a 7 day old phone setting it face down, probably...

Don't know if you are a Costo member but my local store was able to upgrade a phone (family plan, 1 @ unlimited, 2 @ 4gb limits) and keep its unlimited data, only success story that I am aware of w/regard to keeping unlimited. Unless it is in writing, don't believe it, VZW wants to kill...

And the check is in the mail, however, let us know how it works out. I don't necessarily trust the big V. :)

Glad you like it. My daughter has one, just stock, and it seems to be a nice phone, quite durable.
