I finally rooted to CM10 about a week ago and have done a couple nightly updates (very easy!!!) and also have CM10-M1 since last night. I've been pleased with all of it, still worried about battery life but haven't properly tested it to see. Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

Well I gave up on it, finished the Clockwork install and su. Download Titanium Backup and it reminded me to allow "Unknown sources" in Security for other software. Maybe that was the holdup. Not sure. If I'm rooted now, is it okay to attempt a Restore from adb with my original unrooted Adb...
