Same here, sometimes it makes me thing I'm calling the wrong person until it clears and shows the right name/number/picture.

This happens to me all the time in marginal signal areas, it's even forced a reboot of my phone once. I'm guessing this is what's happening to you, hopefully it'll be addressed in an update at some point.

The only thing I can offer is I've noticed if I'm in an area with marginal coverage and cell signal goes in and out a lot it seems to cause my WiFi to drop and reconnect. Might this be the situation you're in as well? I'm not sure if it has something to do with the cell radio trying to get...

I've had this issue since launch (before GB) on a stock device, so I don't think it's an app conflict (happened before I installed anything). Sometimes the volume is maxes out even though the slider shows it only half away, I have to crank it all the way up and then turn it down to get it back...

Re: Verizon is reporting that the Gingerbread Update is Coming So It's out, just checked at the stroke of midnight and the OTA hit my phone. I think it was about 146MB, downloading now.
