The Altered Beast Alpha 5 pack doesnt root the phone for you correct? it is just the update so would need to root and flash recovery anyway

When I rooted my phone I was on EE4 and flashed the original AB to gain root, then flashed Alpha 5 when it came out. My buddy wants to root his, does he need to flash the original version 4 then 5 or can we just flash version Alpha 5? TIA!

Called Verizon, had to flash back to stock and take it in, they put new SIM card in and seems to have worked!

No the call just dies but when I pull the phone away from my ear the timer is still going like there is a live call, however it has ended for the person on the other end.

So all of the sudden my Charge has started dropping 3-4 phone calls a day for no reason. Can be when in a car or standing still, it just cuts off. Any ideas on how to fix?? TIA

There are some really cool ROMs to pick from for this phone, Gummy gives you the gingerbread look and is very smooth and fast. Altered Beast is fast too but takes a more stylistic approach and is my ROM of choice. Now the Humble ROM is out and Im hearing good things about that too, best thing...

So now that you are rooted, Congrats its way more fun on the dark side!, this is a great app to keep your Charge from slowing down, its a cleaner that cleans out your caches without you having to boot into recovery to do it. Keeps my Charge speeding right along...

yes just hit new message at the top of the screen when you open the messaging app, type in one persons name, then the next and the next and so on, it will let you keep typing in names in the recipient box. Then you can type in your message in the message box and send it to multiple people!
