I found it! It was a theme I had downloaded. Not sure why that would change my call a swerve settings but it was the culprit! It was a free theme from theme.seller called "pink".

I have tried that but can't figure out what it is. I did see a previous thread that suggested an app (I checked and I don't have that). I did re-enable the up volume to answer because once i changed that setting, restarted my phone, I then could not answer calls at all from the home screen...

I did have that setting enabled but unchecked it to see if that would work. It did not.
