Deleted all traces of su and flashed Vicious. Su came with vicious so I deleted it again, then used Root Check basic to make sure I wasn't rooted. Still could not connect to email, talked to IT security at my company and they whitelist Android builds. Luckily they un-blocked my phone!

Thanks for the quick replies, dmmarck. I won't plan on re-locking. One last question, in general should I be able to use this process on any of the ROMs around the forums? In other words, do you know of any it specifically wouldn't work for? I'd want to avoid those. Thanks

You're talking about su, right? So is the process to basically follow the guides, but prior to flashing, delete the su files? After flashing will that leave me in a locked and unrooted state?

Is it possible to put a Jelly Bean ROM on my Verizon Nexus and then unlock and unroot it? I really want JB but I can't be rooted because I need access to work email. I know there are ways to look like you aren't rooted but I don't want to do that. I don't think this is possible but thought I'd...
