    VPN Sticky Notification

So I'm running a VPN (through the system settings) and I hate that there is a little key on the notification bar and a persistent notification on the shade reminding me that I'm connected. Does anyone have a clue how to get rid of this? If it requires root, I have that. I'm running ViperOne...

Sick of the size of the phone. Want to sell or trade

I really, really hope they release an S4-size Note one day. My HTC One is about as big as I want to get. I don't think I'd want to go over a 5 inch screen.

Day 5 on HTC One, may go back to Windows

I get push notifications from Facebook all the time.

Nexus 7 vs Samsung Note 8

I love mine -- but I needed the S Pen. It makes browsing more fun (no smudgy screen!) and I can take handwritten notes in my meetings that are synced to the cloud via Papyrus. I've never liked Samsung's build materials, but their book cover (which I purchased for $20 on eBay) is much nicer, adds...

UXToolkit HTC One M7 (Unlock bootloader, flash recovery, root, S-OFF)

Re: EZToolkit Adv: HTC One Toolkit [Unlock bootloader, flash recovery, root] Is the link in the OP kept up to date? Want to make sure I'm not downloading an older version of your software.

Would you buy a GNote8 today?

For those wondering, I did pick up the Note 8.0. I'm very fond of it, especially with the Samsung smart case. While there is a OneNote app for Android, it does not support handwriting recognition. This remains a major downside to me as OneNote is unrivaled and I am tied to Office via my work...

    New Software on the Horizon?

Samsung revealed several new devices at CES today, though notably no update to the 8 inch Note. I'm sure that will come eventually, but in the meantime I'm interested in the 4.4 updates we can see in the products announced today. They have refreshed the interface quite significantly and I have...

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 MULTIWINDOW / SIDE BAR DISAPPEARED AFTER UPDATE - PLEASE HELP!!

Interesting, and I certainly didn't mean to patronize or anything like that -- I know that I, at least, would overlook something like that. As far as I know, Samsung is pretty tight-lipped about updates. This is my first device from them, but they tend to have a reputation for being...

Trying to get more use out of my Note 8

Trying to get more use out of my Note 8

A cool feature that requires root will allow you to use different keyboards depending on whether the S Pen is detached. You could have SwiftKey for finger typing but back to the Handwriting-to-Text via Samsung keyboard if you have the S Pen out.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 MULTIWINDOW / SIDE BAR DISAPPEARED AFTER UPDATE - PLEASE HELP!!

I bought one and updated right through each update since it was released with no problems. Worth it to double check that the multi-window is turned on if you're having problems before taking more drastic steps. Probably something easy to forget to check.

Would you buy a GNote8 today?

Indeed, this is why I've been so interested. I think I'm going to make a move -- I'd rather have the ability to use an active stylus with OneNote, but Windows tablets just have not yet matured enough, at least in this price range. I love some of the other Android tablets out there, but the...

Would you buy a GNote8 today?

I'm thinking about grabbing one, but I'm pretty torn. First of all, it isn't exactly new, but it's not exactly old either. It has the hardware to last a while it seems, but Samsung hasn't shown an eagerness for update support it seems. On the other hand, most folks (I think) are happy with the...

AT&T HTC One 4.3 update is live! (Discussion Thread)

Took a while, but it's all done. Pretty neat, but it's obviously not that huge of an update in terms of user-facing features
