I did some further searching and came across a site which broke it down pretty good. Looks like I wont be able to get Google Play Store on my Kindle after all. Only Kindle Fire tablets running OS 5 or higher can. Mine is running 4.5.5.2 and its the latest update available for my device. Bummer.

How did you make out? How difficult was it to replace the glass? My friend dropped his as well and asked me to fix it for him. I've replaced many on iPhones and other smartphones, but haven't done one yet on a Galaxy Note.
