Thanks. I ordered the cable. I don't think that is the issue as my pixel worked fine. But I'm willing to try anything at this point. If the cable doesn't solve it I have to return the phone. AA is the most important feature on the phone for me.

I'm having Android Auto issues too with my Pixel 3. I previously used a Nexus 5x and Pixel without issue. What are the settings y'all are using for driving mode?

The issue was the USB extension cable was not connected to the USB2 port. Once connected to the correct port Android Auto started. Thank you for all of the help.

Victor, Thanks for the reply. My phone hasn't been linked to the head unit. I don't have another to try. The USB-A to USB-C cable I purchased from Google when I bought the 5X. I hope that cable is good. The cable I am questioning is the USB extension cable that the audio installer connected.

Before I look into ripping out my H/U...what screen should the H/U be at before I connect the phone? I want the phone's Bluetooth off prior to connecting, correct?

thank you for the reply. Yes, I have AA installed on my phone. I'm wondering if the issue is the cable coming from the H/U. It is an extension USB cable; installed by the audio dealer. I connect my USB micro to A cable to the extension.

I have the 5x and pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I can't AA to work. I have USB A - C cable that I bought from Play when I ordered my phone. I've contacted Pioneer and they think everything is good on their end. When I connect the phone nothing happens on the phone side. Any help is appreciated.
