Rooted with Unrevoked3 If you go to their IRC channel there is a link to download their test build. Worked for me, now running 2.2 rooted! Installed wifi tether and everything seems to be working.

Ok, so i have my incredible rooted and rom'ed. The question i have is what is needed to get the official OTA update? i have seen places where people say that you have to restore from the stock rom and that's it but other places talking about the boot loader and radio versions. All i have done...

i know when i tried Cyanogen 6 and sky raider neither had the camera or froyo built in wifi tether working. Also Sky Raider IS a SenseUI ROM and looks much like the stock Incredible rom but its 2.2.

For some reason i doubt verizon will allow the tethering app to be used without paying an extra fee, kinda like sprint with the evo. I would guess that in order to get free wifi tether you will still have to root.

I have an incredible and the gmail app doesn't display a counter but there is a free widget you can get to put on the home screen that looks like the gmail icon that will show a counter and open the gmail app when clicked. Messaging always displayed a counter for me. Although I now use for SMS...

should there not also be a app under all applications called "Superuser Permissions"??

I use either the ipad charger, the little iphone brick charger or the htc one and they all work fine.

anyone else seeing that they removed the incredible from the unrevoked site linked in the original post?

I have noticed that there is no LED when the phone is charging but besides that this is working awesome!

Do you have to rename the file to update.zip in order to go into recovery and try update from sd card? NVM i figured it out, I can apply the update by choosing the zip file but under software information it still says 1.7 after the update. anyone know if this is correct?
