Quick Charge vs USB Power Delivery

Google will probably not use quickcharge if that means they have to pay qualcomm to use it. Google is cheap and they probably reasons that basic usb-c charge speeds are enough, after all 15W is alot of power for a device with 3000-4000mAh batteries. To go higher they have to use PowerDelivery...

Quick Charge vs USB Power Delivery

Google uses usb-c with basic 1.5A/3A power delivery that USB-C allows. Power Delivery is a spec in itself but neither device needs PD to charge - 15W is enough for any cellphone on the market today.

Quick Charge vs USB Power Delivery

People confuse USB-C powerdelivery with plain ol' USB-C. Nowhere is PD synonymous with USB-C. The 6P and 5X dont use "power delivery" they use the plain 5V/3A chargin option that all usb-C chargers should be capable off. Just like a normal USB-A charger has 1A, unless you have a fancy apple...

We've got the HTC 10 and we're answering your questions right here!

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here! Screen on time is by far the worst way to rate battery life. It varries alot by use, anything from 2 hours to 12 is possible all depending on CPU usage. For instance, gaming will make those SOT-times crap low while...

The HTC One A9 is actually $499 after Nov 7th. Thoughts?

In europe (sweden) the difference is way bigger, in favor of the Nexus. A9 price (2/16gb there is no 3/32 in eu): 5990 SEK Nexus 5x (32gb) price: 4890 SEK. SGS 6 Edge (32gb): 5990 SEK S6 (32gb): 4700 SEK So, no-one is going to get the A9 unless they are HTC fans or want the formfactor in...

HTC One A9 pre order , shipping wait room

That's only because HTC marketing has almost no budget compared to Samsung or Apple. They spend hundreds of million, if not billions, of dollars on marketing. But once you have paid hard cash they are not much better then anyone else. Apple has great service in the US but everywhere else you...

HTC One A9 pre order , shipping wait room

I dont know why people are getting so angry at HTC. I ordered a Iphone 6s. It took 6 weeks for it to get delivered. Not a single word in the meantime and all questions was "we get more deliveries soon, meanwhile your place in line are XX". And one day it got delivered. HTC is doing alot more...

16:9 is just 4:3 cropped. Better take photos in 4:3 and crop it manualy.

The UK pricing is downright insulting.

if the UK is anything like sweden you will miss out of a couple LTE bands. For sweden band 20 is a importaint one. You will still get LTE depending on your carrier but probably reduced cover (band 20 is the one used outside cities, 800mhz afaik). Other then that 2g and 3g should be 100%, but...

HTC One A9 pre order , shipping wait room

In sweden the grey are the only model on sale, but it is in stock so i could go get one today if i wanted to. but i dont want grey. rather want gold or red (red most of all) but that was not due until next year by some posters. Also sucks paying premium for a 2/16 device when the 3/32 is way...

how can a $399 A9 compete with the Note 5 which was only $296?

Pocket friendly? It is still larger then M9 and not much smaller then the 5x. Even the N5 is large for a 5" screen! But yeah, compared to 6p and other phablets like Moto Play it's small. But how the F. did HTC think making it the same size as a M8-M9 with a smaller battery? Surely they could...

    HTC Battery Life Claims

that comment on twitter regarding battery is a cut'n'paste response, i got the exact same from HTC. They know the battery is small and, sure, when not using it for intensive stuff it lasts - but tbh phones are meant to be used. Even badly optimized phones get great battery life (esp when...
