I know Verizon will give you a new sim if you need it (I don't think you have to buy it), but the message about having to activate through Simplexity made me wonder how that works too. I ordered through Wirefly on 5/16. I was stuck on carrier approved until I chatted with them earlier today then it switched to "order validation." I received the shipping email about an hour after that.

Mine just shipped too! Haven't received an email yet, but I refreshed the page and it said it shipped.

I had almost that same chat session as well. I'm still waiting for the shipping info, but my card was charged and the status page says it should be shipped today.

I ordered through Wirefly (they actually beat Newegg's price and gave me free overnight shipping!) and my order changed to carrier approval status as well this morning.

I preordered my Thunderbolt through Wirefly and I just checked my email history and it look like I received the Verizon approval/processing email the day before the official launch day and it was shipped on the actually launch day (3/17/11). I imagine this would be the same type of situation...
