I see similar "inconsistent call answering behavior" in the G3 and G4 threads. So this seems like an LG problem. I'll use the 5X for some more time and see how I feel about it.

LG carries this annoying behavior forward to the Nexus 5X that I bought. I wish I had stayed with the Samsung Galaxy!

I'm using Google Fi with it. Could that be the problem?
