Some of the other models had posts about this, but none for the S24 that I could find. But I got the Jan '26 Google Play Security Update this morning on my AT&T S24+. Samsung's finally letting the updates through, it seems.

Exynos models need a USB cable plugged into the port on the phone and the other end in a PC for the Vol up + Lock button press to work. You don't need to do anything on the PC, it just has to be plugged in for some reason. Snapdragon models don't need that.

On Reddit, someone with an S24+ got the One UI 8 download while on AT&T. It was a factory unlocked model from Samsung. Guess unlocked gets it before locked models. Used to be that way, then kind of flipped for a few years, now back to the way it was before again. Edit - spoke too soon. Just...
