Same thing happens on mine. I just use the speaker to play it instead. Don't bother with a reset. This has been a problem on their phone app since 2.x versions of Oxygen OS on the OnePlus 2 and continues to be an issue in the 3.x versions on both the OP2 & OP3, at least in my experience.

Mine doesn't creak at all. Nice, solid and tight fit. I also have the Spigen Exact Fit and while both are thin, the Ringke is a touch thinner and both feels and looks better on the phone in my opinion.

Chiming in to report I have same issue as OP on two Moto X's with stock 4.4. Seems to coincide with the Play Music update as well.

I've experienced similar and posted over in the Motorola forums about it. Hopefully they pick up on it and review as a possible bug. When playing music or podcasts via BT and receiving a notification or call the application or BT connection seems to hang or crash. The only way to get it back...
