Mine worked like a charm for a few days then got all wacky and quit working. I re-entered everything and it worked fine for a few days. I went into the yahoo via a PC and checked the outbox -- whoaaa!! it sent my messages (not exaggerating) 1,760 times!!! I checked a bit further. I have 2...

Best Home Replacement App for You

I used dxtop, panda, and home++, after a bunch of screwing around and setting up and tinkering I got fed up with slowness and glitches. I've gone back to the native home with no themes and slimmed down main screen to phone, 4 "messaging" apps, and the weatherbug widget. To the right: 3...

Who would purchase a case that surrounded the droid at the expense of the keyboard?

To answer your question... yes. I'd buy one. I NEVER use the slide out keyboard. However, a more important issue for me is: how incredibly clumsy, awkward and ugly will my Droid be with an extended battery and a case that covers is all up? That's gonna be a frickin' brick.

Any way to set AutoText or something?

Well, I got it completely figured out. However, it ONLY works with slide out keyboard - basically useless since I rarely ever use the physical keyboard. Well, at least my knowledge base is increasing.

Any way to set AutoText or something?

Ahhhhh... I see the problem. I was using Handcent. But, was mistakenly opening the app thru the native "messaging" icon - I opened Hancent directly and Viola - there's the option. Thanks for the clarification, when you sorta restated his post it started making more sense. Thanks again.

Any way to set AutoText or something?

Huh?? I am using Handcent. I REALLY want to add autotext functionality. I looked every possible place I could think of in the app and could not find "autotext settings" anywhere. Please supply more info. Thanks

    sending ringtones

I share you frustration. It happened to me tonight. I've sent a dozen ringtones to friends and families. A friend requested one (by the way, really cool song and ringtone: a cover of Hotel California done by Skadaddyz). I used imusic to DL song and Ringdroid to make ringtone. But, the file was...

ok.... bear with me... I think I know why you're not finding the option in the menu. you stated you "opened handcent".... that's the problem. Make Handcent your default messaging application. Then open "messaging" / menu / settings / third one down s/b "multimedia message limits" Note: to...

Am I blind or is the option to subscribe to a thread under the "user cp" just NOT there on the mobile version?

Open Handcent / menu / settings. ... third item down should be "multimedia messaging limit" be sure that isn't set to zero. Re: sending a ringtone you made..... I don't think that would make a difference. I tried sending one I made and it sent fine. What exactly happens when it doesn't work...

@ cheeta - there is a setting in Handcent Re: message limits. Check the preferences. Or, have you reached some sort of carrier message limits?

I found a very easy way to do this: save the ringtone on you media card the way it's been detailed a million times (SD card / media / audio / ringtones) then open Handcent (that's what I use - might work with native messenger app) and then go to the field where you'd type a message and hit...
