How do I remove the back of my Galaxy S6?

Don't know precisely the English names, but must be something like Settings->Device Info (or About Device?) ->Status->IMEI Info. Posted via the Android Central App

    S6 edge Battery Life

Some guys didn't like my comments in the below post, but I really recommend to uninstall/deactivate everything you don't need and "optimize" all apps from which you don't need to get notifications. In my case that helped a lot. Maybe this is not a solution for everyone, but I'd be glad if it...

Where is the Select ALL feature for email on the Galaxy S6?

Re: "Select ALL" feature in Galaxy S6 Thank you, jnichols. Yes, that's what it looks like on my device, too (also on MM). The difference to older versions is just that there is one more step (#1) and that there is no grouping by date... First world problem... ;-) And thank you too, Soccermom...

Where is the Select ALL feature for email on the Galaxy S6?

Re: "Select ALL" feature in Galaxy S6 Thank you! Just wondering whether we mean the same. I just googled an old screenshot (not as good as I had hoped for...). This was what you saw immediately after opening the app (no further long press on anything). Above that "older" you found the last 5 or...

Where is the Select ALL feature for email on the Galaxy S6?

Re: "Select ALL" feature in Galaxy S6 Does anybody know of a third party e-mail app having the functionality described by Lena above? It was so convenient (on the S3 with KitKat in my case) to have your mails grouped by date, select all of them by checking one box, then deselect the one or two...

Battery is not getting better on Marshmallow

Pls find below. Let me know if you are interested in a particular setting. Brightness 50% manually Rather dark theme (see screenshot above) Usually good signal (not a setting, I know... ;-) Location always off BT always on (connected to Gear S2 classic) Wi-Fi on while in reach of trusted...

Battery is not getting better on Marshmallow

Please be careful with the word lying... By no means was my intention to imply that I do anything smarter or more intelligent than others. I was just reporting that with my low level use of the phone I'm experiencing an acceptable battery life. You know probably better than I do that this...

Battery is not getting better on Marshmallow

Brightness 50% manually, Facebook etc. disabled, mainly messengers, e-mail, news, banking, playstore (no games, youtube, video recording etc.), usually good LTE signal, all but a few apps "optimized" permanently. Maybe I'm just lucky...;-) Posted via the Android Central App

Battery is not getting better on Marshmallow

Same here, but a cache wipe helped. Running 18 h with 6-8 h SOT leaves me at 10-15%. Okay for me (S6 edge). Posted via the Android Central App

Pros and Cons of Updating to Marshmallow (6.0.1)

Slightly worse battery life after updating to MM, but a cache wipe seems to solve that issue (I still don't know what battery saving approach is used, posted the question in this forum). Best features of MM seem to be application rights control and up to date security patch level (March 2016 in...

    Again: Doze vs. App Optimization

Hello all, sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I didn't find it. I'm still confused about the battery saving approach used on Samsung devices under MM. With Lollipop Samsung introduced their own "app optimization" feature. Background activities of apps are stopped after a certain amount of time...

Samsung email app different under MM?

Hello, the question is Samsung related, so apologies if it's in the wrong thread. I'm curious whether the stock Samsung email app under Marshmallow is different to the one under 5.x, especially if they brought back the "select all" box and the "select all of a specific date" box like it was...
