I bought a Note 5 on ebay to replace the Note 7. I knew the situation, there was never a suggestion that you could just grab a different phone on contract and until the next phone release.

I definitely like the infinity display over the old flat screen. I just hope they went with the curvature off the Note 7 instead of the s7 edge. It was a more smooth curve on the Note 7 where you didn't get a sharp reflection on it.

Yeah, that's a little disappointing that the colors will only be on the back and that the fronts will be black bezels.

I like the look of this. For the people that don't, the front of your phone is already one piece of glass, it doesn't make a difference if you have more screen IMO.

The rumors are making it very hard to decide. Free s8 upgrade and I'll pick up an S7 without hesitation. But that's only speculation. I'm just sticking with the n7 for now until I feel inspired on something or hear more on this. Or I guess until they disable it or it blows up.

I hope this is true, I'll be all over it. I'd actually be very happy with Samsung if they did this.

Yeah, Samsung has been good about approving all these promotions for us. It takes a lot of the sting off.

They already disabled the oculus app so that's already one chop off the block. I was wondering the same thing though. Is it possible to hang on to it for a while and still use? I keep thinking if everyone turns them in and they're all disposed of, maybe they'd have some sort of historical...

I agree with the screen seeming a lot smaller. The more pronounced curved "edge" catches a lot more reflection which frames the screen smaller than it actually is. At least that's what I thought.

I was going through the recent political cartoons or whatever on MSN yesterday and all the recent ones were either the election or the Note 7. I still don't see it as being a serious enough problem that people will stop buying them. I think they were lucky it didn't happen to the standard s7...

I didn't like the curve of the screen, the reflection it gave off on the sides made the screen seem, to me anyway, a lot smaller than it actually was.

I just tried to use it and there was a mini update. When I put the headset on, found out oculus no longer usable with the Note 7. I was going to hold out turning it in but now I'm not sure what to do.
