Just an update - took it to my local Samsung store today - and they said its the Mobo that is causing the issue. and it will be repaired under the MFU Warranty .

i should prop say that its getting quite hot when trying to start up = what would that be?

done - first thing i did - still nothing :( trip to the Samsung store tomorrow i think :(

i can honestly say no, it has never been rooted or had any custom anything on it or even attempted

I have also done a factory rest after flashing with odin and formatted the cache partition - and still nothing :( however - odin is only taking 02.57 mins to flash the device...

Yeah, thats the ones i used and nothing happened at all when i flashed it with odin - same apps installed - all my data still there.....

Its a 3 Mobile - branded device - after the Samsung logo i get a 3 logo and then it NORMALLY boots in.

Also - using the boot menu - i have factory reset the device and same thing

right - ok - did this - and it did everything great! when the phone booted back up - it was exactly how i left it - nothing had been deleted or reset at all and the problem remains

Thanks for your reply. How can i find out the exact version, i know it was recently upgraded to marshmallow, but i dont know the exact version. the phone will now not stay on longer than 20 secs so i cant get to the settings. Also, why would this happen so randomly in the middle of use?

Yeah, so basically, this has now happened, was in my pocket and pulled it out this morning, and its been like this ever since. Iv restarted my phone and turned it off for a while, and done a battery pull... no avail... can anyone help? Iv looked for a setting in the menu, but none :( Posted...

Ill give it ago :) CEX are normally quite good at testing the devices before they sell them, and refuse any jailbroke/rooted devices... Posted via the Android Central App
