There isn't data roaming on Straight Talk, but there is voice roaming. Of course speed isn't the same, so if your attached to it then...no you shouldn't leave Verizon.

Don't call, just port your number over through Straight Talk, and AT&T will get the message. I did that with Sprint and it worked out perfectly. I had voice and SMS within an hour, and data in like 3 or 4 hours. (But it can take up to 24 hours for data)

I have been using Straight Talk ATT since November 20th, I haven't had any issues at all. I average about 5mb down/1mb up (I peak at 8mb down and like 2mb up, and sometimes I get a constant 6mb down like today.). I will list my APN settings below. Good coverage in the Metro Detroit area...
