Nexus 9: Anyone with a recently bought model having issues?

Re: Anyone with a recently bought model having issues? I seem to be getting 8 or nine hours on it - mostly internet and magazines. I have been inside and not in bright areas so i keep the screen down to about 1/4 of the way from the left. I do not like the auto level for brightness - on any...

    OTG Cable

I have had no difficulties using es explorer with an OTG cable. Also working is Nexus Media Importer with an otg cable. In each case I connected a 64G USB stick formated in NTFS

    Nexus 9, overhyped flop

Remember to take much of what is posted with a grain of salt. People who love the tablet are less likely to post than those who have a [sometime legitimate] complaint. And then of course there are the posts by those who do not even own the tablet but love controversy, and finally those who do...

Nexus 9 : Owners sound off with your own reviews and thoughts.

Agreed - and it is very nice for reading magazines which seem to be closer to the 4:3 format. On my nexus 10 with magazines there was always a bit of space [when full page] at the top and bottom so the 9 works out to be about the same size as with the 10

Re External Storage ... I just tried a 64G USB thumb [NTFS format] drive plugged into an OTG cable and it worked perfectly. I only tried it with videos but I would think there would be no problem with any files eg spreadsheets etc. So far I used the programs Nexus Media Importer and also ES File...

Usually when someone starts a post with look at me I am a big shot developer and know it all ...... they don't. I appreciate what you are saying in your message and even agree with the gist of it, just a word that is not a great way to introduce yourself to the forum.

I would not say it is not a finished product. The issue is more that the software developers just need to get updated to lollipop. It is also difficult to contrast the nexus 9 experience to the xperia unless they are both running lollipop

It's odd.. When I first tried it I thought I saw a very small amount of light bleed on one side, but in checking now i can not see any???? Not sure if I just aimed it would be there so I saw it but now in a dark room turned up I see none of it!

Agree tee updates need to come. I could not get xbmc to work or mx player pro so I installed vlc pleasure which is fine. I am sure there will be no problem as programmers convert over to lollipop

Do far Wi-Fi reception seems to be OK. I walked out to the street with it and WiFi stayed connected. My router is in the basement
