stuck on android boot screen.. dono wat i could have done wrong.. wiped everything before flashing no rom.. it says not to wipe data when flashing noIQagent.. do i wipe everything else?

I had the palm pre and rooting/themes/roms was 10 times as easy so im kinda a nub on this phone.. you said "To flash: via adb shell or terminal type this from root # shell" what command am i typing first when i first open the command prompt before I start typing those adb commands?

Need a little help here.. trying to flash thunderom 1.7. I use the lg optimus control center to boot into recovery mode and I am getting no option to flash.. thunderom zip is on the root of my sdcard also.. My device is rooted..but i am also getting a error tryin to update superuser.. its saying...
