Smart Lock shows the icon on my unlock screen, but after swiping away from the icon, nothing. None of the smart lock options have been functioning for me: bluetooth devices, location, or on-body. The smart unlock connection to my Chromebook is working however. I have a Note 3 with 5.0.

Yep, same thing with my T-Mobile GN3. I thought it was a cool feature at first but it freezes up much of the time, so pattern unlock it is I suppose.

I have had the same issue and all of my settings for sync and Google+ instant upload shouldn't have allowed this to occur either. I fixed the situation using the data usage settings like someone mentioned above. Go to settings, data usage, click on the offending app, then scroll to the bottom...
