I agree that the mini screen is brighter than the X. I would say that reading text on the mini screen is much better than the X even though the X has deeper blacks. The mini screen is really quite nice, much better than my Razr M or the mini.

I agree with you on the confusion about the specs for this phone. At least a couple of sites say that this phone has a Super AMOLED display. The Motorola site is pretty vague about the display. So I guess we may have to wait until the phone releases to find out for sure. JW

I downloaded the update this morning after checking to see that an update was available. After the update I noticed better wifi performance and also it seems that the phone overall seems a litter quicker in response. My phone is not rooted. I do use the nova launcher. JW
