    Wireless Dex a Disaster

Google does have a Desktop experience in developer settings but it's klunky compared to DeX.

DeX Pad does support 1440 resolution if the monitor does. Many 4K tvs don't tho'

    One UI: Accidental Dialling

Since the upgrade to Pie and One UI I have had several occurrences when after hanging up a call, it has rung the number after putting the phone in my pocket. I've a Samsung clear view case on the phone and I've suspected it is accidentally hitting the 'Call back' button the appears and...

    S-Pen Double Click

Thanks, but no success with that either. I get a slight improvement using my forefinger instead of my thumb but still can't do it reliably, only working one time in three or fore. Ah well, not something I expect to use much.

    S-Pen Double Click

Is there any option to slow the recognition of the S-Pen double click down? When using it as a remote for the camera I can only get it to recognise the double click about one time in 10 tries.

    Tab A 4g 9.7/2

What is the make of SIM card? Mobile devices can be quite sensitive to the quality of SIM cards. I don't have problems with Samsung and SanDisk cards. A friend who had problems with his Tab S and SD cards switched to SanDisk and hasn't had problems since. Even if the card works in other machines...

Any recommendations for replacing Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition?

There are two 2015 Tab A 9.7's, one with S-Pen, SM-P550, and one without, SM-T550. There's also a 4G version of the one without S-Pen, SM-T555. They were released in July 2015. There was also 8.0" versions of the "without S-Pen" model. The 2016 version is a 7.0" model and is also "without...

Any recommendations for replacing Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition?

Obviously it depends on your usage requirements, but the Tab A 9.7 with S-Pen could be a candidate. It is light and I guess the 8" version is even lighter. The resolution is nowhere near the Note 10.1 and it doesn't have the same processing power but is quite bit cheaper.

File on MicroSD card are read only

I think the process is a bit more complicated. I've tried a couple of tests on my Note 5 (which doesn't have an SD card) and my Tab A (which does). On my Note 5 it works as you describe, if I try to open from a file explorer it opens as read-only. If I open from Excel then it opens with full...

Can I use an spen from my note on a galaxy tab A that doesn't come with one ?

Doubt it, The S-Pen devices have a pen digitizer built into the screen which I doubt is there on the non-pen devices. Added to which you wouldn't have the built-in software support for the pen such as air command and the text recognition.

Note 5 Issues coming from Note 3

My N920C has just updated to Marshmallow and the direct dial widgets are back, as is the capability to jump to a specific window in both the app drawer and the home screen by tapping the mini buttons.
