I worry about this too. I've been waiting since 9/18 for a phone that I was immediately charged for and cannot get a straight answer on when I can expect delivery. Their site says 10/13, but their reps can't verify that date and say it could be longer. At this point, I can't cancel the order...

It also depends on how quickly you want your phone. The M8 I'm sure you can get today. I placed an order for a Pure Edition Moto X on 9/18 and am told it may arrive by 10/13. And that is not a guarantee. If you were on Verizon, you could have a Moto X in days it seems. Motorola plays favorites...
