I'd say wait if you can, it won't be too much longer, probably a month, 5 weeks at most, even on Verizon. I also doubt the M8 will be $200 cheaper, maybe $100, but HTC prices their flagships pretty well so I expect the M9 to be $599 off contract, I highly doubt M8 drops to $399 off contract...
