Where do turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up?

Update: I stumbled onto the fact that "Hi-Q MP3 Voice Recorder (Free)" has a RAW (unprocessed) recording setting, and gives proof of mic filtering. Much fuller sound in RAW mode! It compresses the audio to MP3, etc. so it's not like taking RAW digital photos. Now, I have to figure out if this...

Where do turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up?

Followup: I ran the "Spectroid" spectrum analyzer app and it shows a clear highpass effect right around 100Hz, which makes me suspect something's going on internally, so I'm still not sure this mic is purely mediocre. Could be a combination of factors.

Where do turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up?

Re: Where do I turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up? I'm not loyal to any given brand and would only buy new, but thanks for the concept. The notion of paying more than $50 for any phone doesn't appeal to me. Got lucky with those Nokia mics, I suppose, and there's...

Where do turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up?

Re: Where do I turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up? Well, I was going on the hope that my earlier budget phones by Nokia were indicative of mic quality in that range. I'm generally curious as to why there's no highpass or lowpass setting in Android, unless said...

Where do turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up?

Re: Where do I turn off the microphone high-pass filter for more bass pick-up? You're sure about that on this particular model? I hope the LG Phoenix 4 didn't cut corners on the mic, since it's quite decent otherwise. Part of why I want to record bass is to document some neighbor problems, and...

Just did - had old account but couldn't log in before. Note typo in title - missing "I."

Can you force Android ICS to do a 360 degree panorama photo?

I notice that the new camera panorama feature in Android ICS (4.0.3) stops taking pictures long before you can rotate the camera a full 360 degrees. It seems to allow roughly 180 degrees, and if you pan too fast it won't keep up. The timer runs out and the images start sticthing automatically...

What's the best way to scroll without opening menus or apps?

"Press and wait" seems like good advice. I knew there had to be a trigger you could send to the OS. I still think touchscreens are overrated except for portability, battery life and the cool-factor. A mouse takes a lot less effort and is more precise.

What's the best way to scroll without opening menus or apps?

On the A100, I often accidentally launch apps or menus when scrolling down through a list of items. Things fly open before I can scroll to what I really want. It seems like doing a "heavy" drag is the way to avoid this but I can't get that to be as consistent as I'd like. My finger dexterity...

    ics is here

An Acer chat rep indicated 4.0 is being rolled out in batches by serial number, so geography shouldn't be a factor. People on the same street in the same town might get it days apart.

    ics is here

It looks like a lot of misinformation and hasty hack suggestions are being posted in various forums because people don't/didn't understand that 4.0 was being rolled out on a serial-number basis. Patience is usually a virtue. Computers are notorious for creating the impression of false cause &...
