Follow-up, using Chrome beta and the phone is'nt as warm and the battery is doing better. This also fixed the edge bleed bug on my carbon N5X. Think there was a serious issue with Chrome draining the battery. Good news is that it's fixed in the beta version.

I see it on my carbon N5X too. Especially visible on Ars Technica's dark mobile pages while in articles. It's not visible in apps so I wonder if something to do with mobile web page displays in Chrome. Throw this in with the poor screen quality, poor battery life, wonky adaptive brightness and...

Battery seems terrible so far. It will make it through a work day, but not with a lot left. The screen is really poor. It's a little brighter to the left and you get some edge bleed really noticeable with dark screens. Even factoring in that it's LCD, I'd say it's cheap and of poor quality...

Pretty bad. Runs down fast just listening to podcasts and music. If I don't charge during the day it would be down to 10-20% at night with not really that much use. Maybe a couple hours of screen on time. I'm not that happy with it. Battery is poor, screen quality is poor. Thinking of sending...
