The Samsung battery was left out for 24 hours -reconnected and no difference. I wonder if I should get another battery?

No- I have tried all of the techniques that others have used with No luck.

All, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 that has worked flawlessly since Oct. 2014. Last week, I powered it on, with 16% battery, it stated to plug in my Samsung Charger. So, I plugged it in, started to open an app, and boom, screen went dark and has not worked since. I went ahead and left...
