I have a quick question for you all on Spotify. I have, a few times, tried to get it to play a song via the voice command. I think out of the three or four times I have done it I got it to work once. The rest of the time it will just hang indefinitely or sometimes even kill Spotify all together...

If it bothers you I would take it to an installer as mine was able to bypass that pretty easily. I get an error every now and then in maps about not interacting with it while driving but I do not think there is a fix for that since it is seeing that you are moving via GPS.

That's a Verizon specific thing.

I have given up, since they fixed the S6 I ordered one and my troubles should be over on Monday. Sad they did not test this better with more phones and have better information upon release.

Wow, checked my version on a Verizon s5 and it's 5.3 I believe it was. When clicking the version number it tells me it's up to date. That's probably why it's screwed up. I wonder why we can't update to 7.3.

Yes, I have the 8100 with their recommended cable in the correct port and an s5 from Verizon. Same problem as everyone else, no voice.

Sorry you're having this experience. I would have advised to take it to a professional which best buy does not qualify as in any of their dept. I clean up their messes all the damn time. If I were you I'd hit up Google reviews for installers in your area and find the best one. Let them look at...

You can defeat the lock out by either bringing notifications down and ending car mode or hitting the menu button that brings up all apps running and selecting another app. I'm sure that will be corrected down the road. Hopefully they fix the s5 first as that's the only way I can use it!
