i extracted the radio from the gingerbread rom and installed it worked fine
but forget that factory image for our device is finally out go check it out

Well i read around that many nexus s would update to 2.3.6 first and then update to ics so to be safe I updated to 2.3.6 build GRK39F first then i updated to the t-mobile ics build IML74K
and after i installed the I9020AUCKF1 baseband
I also installed the face unlock app and its working fine...
got tired of waiting so i went ahead and rooted flashed the t-mobile build of ICS followed by a working radio for at&t phone is running super smooth
been running it for about a week now and I'm not really noticing the battery problem
