I got it to work by doing the method where you pull the phone off of the USB plug during the first reboot. However, I'm also having the problem where Root explorer WONT let me rename things, but other apps, like barnacle wifi etc ..., do have superuser permissions. Any solutions there?

Sorry everyone, I searched for this answer but could not find it. My phone is rooted (blah blah blah) but I NEVER deleted any files, only renamed them. However, when I try to run the OTA update, it always fails. What do I need to do in order to make the OTA work? Thanks everyone

Hey everyone, Im using a cpu monitor app and have found this process: Android system/ checkin service/ ..running between 15-30% at all times. Does anyone know what this process is? At one point (and this was scary) it was using 110% of my cpu. Would love some help from someone in the know...

Anytime I say "call so and so" it just comes up as a google search. Any trick for getting this to work?

My phone has been rooted and de-binged, but through a little experimentation I have found the following commands work; Naviagate to - Map of - Directions to - but whenever I try "call" or "send text" it simply comes up as a google search. Any thoughts?

So we got rid of bing, but is it possible to install google voice commands on this phone? And if not, will it be soon? My girlfriend has a g1 and the search button not only searches google but also her whole phone, and she can use voice commands to accomplish tasks on the phone. Just...
