I'm very pleased with my UAG Monarch. I haven't actually dropped the phone yet but the case feels very solid in hand and is very grippy. I just feel very comfortable with it, and it doesn't add much bulk. I guess it all depends on priorities, though. The Defender is probably more protective but...
I bought the UAG Plasma, Spigen Tough Armor and Caseology Legion. I finally put the Legion on a few days ago, and it's my favorite of the three. Nice protection and feels really good in hand. To think I got it from 1/8 the price of the Plasma.
I decided to go with this option eventually. It's a bit awkward because I wasn't sure where to position it on the Note 8, but I think it'll work well enough for my purpose. Thanks for the tip!
Will be travelling soon and intend to use my Note 8 as my daily driver for taking pictures. Would appreciate any suggestions on a way to attach the phone to my hand/wrist to avoid accidental drops.
I'm using the Samsung official screen protector for the S8+. It's a dry install and the S-Pen doesn't leave marks on it. I just wish it were a mm or two longer. :(
I'm hoping Samsung releases a Note 8 version, but I'm also not holding my breath.
I went with the Monarch this time because the Otterboxes just add way too much heft, and the Note 8 is large enough as it is. Hopefully it will provide similar protection to a Commuter, which is what I've always used in the past.
I love this case but am still on the hunt for a good screen protector that works with it.
How's the Bodyguardz so far? I've read bad things about touch sensitivity.
Mine isn't tough to press at all. But then I've used Otterbox Commuters on both my previous phones so maybe this is just easy comparatively.
I do agree that the power button is a bit tough to find by touch, though.
My Galaxy S3 corrupted 2 Sandisk cards back in the day, so I switched to Samsung Evo. Ever since then, I haven't experienced any corruption, through to my Note 4. So definitely sticking with Samsung.
