you could go into the bamf toolkit and choose LTE settings. Set your preferred network type to: LTE mode I believe that should make it 4G only and stop the battery draining cdma scanning. if your not on a bamf rom type *#*#4636#*#* and go into phone information and you can access that setting.

did you happen to restore anything with an app like titanium backup? I flashed RC4 then did a restore with titanium that restored all missing apps + all system data and had problems galore. Flashed again and did a restore of just missing apps and all is well.
