Pixel 4a here, September Play Services update 22.36.16. As per a tip from another site, in Google Play Services app, try 'Disable' and then re 'Enable' . Worked for me, Trusted Places is back and have a working 'trusted place' established and functional. Thanks and credit to 'Carlo Di Martino'

It's worth noting that some users over at XDA and Sony forums (and elsewhere) are reporting A10q bugs after update. Might want to think/hit the brakes before taking the plunge. Note: I have not as of yet received the update offer. Among the possible issues mentioned.... Fingerprint scanner...
