Oh man....that's it! The one place I didn't look was the "save" section. So they have totally changed this menu option in the latest update to android. In the past, it was in the area where you choose file size. Thank you. Problem solved.

I've done a search for "how to take raw photos" with the Note 9, but my menus look different than what is shown. Also, all of the instructions are from 2018.... so the software has been updated since then.... which might explain the different menus. Perhaps Samsung removed it. So, is there no...

OK.....I'll try that. I have it set to "create note" when I pull the pen. Also, I have the new note shrunk so it doesn't dominate the entire screen. Once it is shrunk, all subsequent new notes open pre-shrunken so I don't have to do that step. I was just sure that I was missing something...

Yes....totally.... I assume that the speaker phone is a part of this. I just thought there'd be a little place on the phone screen to quickly create a note associated with that call. Perhaps there is an app for that?

I know I've seen this demonstrated somewhere, but I didn't see an obvious way to do it when, today, I took a rushed call.....important info.....and I could not frig'n find a way to take notes during that phone call. I ended up opening the notes app, but I thought there'd be a quick obvious way...

New Note 9 user here..... This question provoked me to play with these Samsung apps, and I actually quite like them. So I've set myself up to go all Samsung (using OneNote for notes). I think it is going to work nicely!

Whoa! The darn thing just arrived.... a day early....I turned off imessages....swapped the sim.....and it all seems to be up and running! I had a scare....when I opened the SiM tray, I saw this huge slot....way too big for the SiM....but then realized that it had to be pulled all the way out...

Thanks for those links! This is actually my first iPHone....but I have had it for 2.5 years, so I have all but forgotten my skills with Android. I'm with Verizon and the Note 9 is said to be originally a Verizon phone (open box) that is unlocked....so I'm confident it is CDMA or whatever...

My Note 9 arrives this Saturday. Goodbye iPhone. Getting text messages on my phone AND computer is a big deal in my work. The Apple ecosystem is good about that. Seeing that I can, now, use either Windows 10 "My Phone" or Samsung's "Flow".....I'm saying goodbye to Apple. Now, I'm wondering...

Yep, I don't have fat hands either...but I definitely don't need a phone that requires even more caution than I currently have to exercise while working. If the S7 (non edge) could be adapted to act like a Note phone (by simply accepting an accessory stylus), I'd be all over it. Compact, fast...
