That looks like something that will work. I was hoping to allow her to use her big button simpl phone as she has dementia and needs a very basic phone.

I have the XLink right next to her phone . I also have XLink at my place 70+ miles away. It seems that my calls to her have a low quality connection. Other calls I make come in fine. It could probably be a number of things but I was hoping to eliminate BT.

I would have to check the model. I believe it is an old LG Stylo tracfone with Android 7. I use MacroDroid macros to reconnect the phone to BT whenever there is an unexpected break that the normal BT settings can not handle. The old version of Android works without all the BT security...

It would be ideal to have as direct connection as possible. The issue with xlink and bluetooth is loosing connection and not automatically reconnecting. I run macros to force reconnect for different disconnects. It worked great until the code library changed and bluetooth control was blocked.

Thank you. I was looking for a unit that works like xlink but uses a jack rather than Bluetooth as my mom does not use the cell at all. I set her up on trackfone. Perhaps a base unit could replace the phone. I never looked at those. Worried about compatibility with tracfone

Great info. I set her phone up so it is permanently located right next to the Xlink. Sounds like would work as good as a cable. For some reason, my long distance calls to her phone have a lower sound quality.

Thank you for the reply. Honestly I don't know if she has the dexterity to use a touch screen. I will look at Macrodroid. Perhaps there would be a way to activate the macro remotely or at the touch of a button on the screen.
