That did it! I figured out that the sound goes away when I turn off NFC. Did some reading, and it turns out this is the sound the phone makes when there's an NFC chip nearby. I just got a new phone case, and my debit card is in there. I'm not sure what the phone thinks it's going to do with...

None of the 5 things shown will turn off this new sound. However, if I turn the volume off for all system sounds, the new sound becomes a vibration. So it is some kind of system sound, but not one I can turn off from that screen.
