Battery life is worse for me on 5.1. I'm also having issues where I'm not getting notifications for SMS, the dialer is becoming unreaponsive, apps are crashing, stuttering in apps and battery live is a lot worse. The memory leak is causing a lot of theses issues, constant reboots of the phone...

How do you transfer the files, by MTP over USB or using Kids or what? I've tried different USB drivers and the phone is up to date, but pics and bids still come out on the PC upside down and sideways, transferring by MTP over USB!!

That rotation thing doesn't happen on the nexus 5 or the Galaxy nexus! Battery life under my usage is not much different between the nexus 5 and the S5. I still have to charge up when I get home from a day at work, so no difference really! Sorry, I don't want to rain on your parade here...

I disagree, the camera is terrible in anything other than perfect conditions. The nexus 5 with OIS walks all over this camera for indoor photos, one handed picture taking and even outdoors when the light is not great. On top of that, the pictures and video can come out upside down or sideways...
