Anybody else had problems not getting notifications on certain wifi networks?

Can anyone think of any router settings that might prevent notifications from arriving? When I connect to certain wifi networks I do get the notifications, like they have been sitting there waiting for me. I just don't receive them at home.

I tried resetting the router but so far still no notifications. Are there any settings on the router that might be blocking notifications?

In case anyone is wondering, I came to the conclusion that there was a hardware failure and I sent it back to Samsung under manufacturer warranty. The bluetooth was fixed and it has been working well ever since.
